For whom is this application note intended?

This note is intended for automation technician(s), maintenance personnel who have the responsibility of integrating the Spark solution within a production solution.

Objective

At the end of this application note, you should be able to retrieve the results of the inspection carried out by your Spark station and use them in your applications.

The goal is to create a PLC application that retrieves the inspection results at the output of the Spark station and returns the status of the inspected part on a light column. A green light indicates a healthy part while a red light indicates a defective part.

Required equipment

• 1 24V power supply
• 1 industrial PLC (example: Schneider Electric TM241CE24T)
• 1 Spark box
• 1 “M12 4-pin” connector provided with your Spark (example link)
• Connection cables for the automatism
